The wholesale giant opened up the new 89,000-square-foot club in Orange County on Auto Park Place in Newburgh, making it the company’s 44th location in New York and 220th across the country.
At BJ’s, club members will have their option of a wide assortment of fresh foods, a full-service deli, and household essentials such as paper and cleaning products, diapers, and pet care supplies.
Other items available include seasonal toys, clothes, footwear, electronics, and a variety of local products.
In the Newburgh location, there will also be a BJ’s Gas station - the chain’s 150th fuel location - where customers who sign up for BJ’s Gas Savings Program can save 10 cents per gallon by building up points by purchasing certain items inside the store.
“We’re excited to open the BJ’s Gas location in Newburgh so our members can fill up their tank at an unbeatable value,” Craig Lombardi, general manager of BJ’s in Newburgh, stated. “Members will be able to save time and money on everything they need, from household essentials and fresh food to gas and tires, all in one convenient location
According to the company, "BJ’s touts everyday low prices of 25 percent less than grocery store prices for national-brand household staples."
The company noted that it’s the only warehouse club that accepts all manufacturers’ coupons, and its stores offer more fresh food than other wholesale clubs, including produce, meat, deli, and bakery items.
The opening of BJ’s in Newburgh coincides with another location celebrating its grand opening last week in Long Island City.
“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in New York and bring outstanding value and savings to families in Long Island City and Newburgh,” BJ’s President and CEO Lee Delaney stated when announcing the new clubs this past summer.
“BJ’s brings a fresh approach to the wholesale club experience by providing our members with outstanding value and convenience on everything they need for their family.”
